Meet Vlada

Vlada Levit MA, LMHC

Hi, I am so pleased you have taken the time to look into psychotherapy, and that you have found this page. I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State, primarily practicing teletherapy in Brooklyn. I and am dedicated to helping folks regain their balance to be the person they want to be.

I work with folks navigating the transitions and responsibilities they are expected to keep up with, while managing past complex traumas to relearn safety on their current path. I treat the person as a whole- meaning we also take into account your environmental, circumstantial, and physical state of being and how it impacts your mental health. Individuals of all ethnicities, experiential backgrounds and sexual/gender identities are welcomed.

About me

I balance my clinical work with creative outlets such as photography, antiquing, and value the natural therapeutic elements offered through nature immersion and travel. I was born in Ukraine, speak Russian, and incorporate multicultural awareness to my therapeutic work. I un-ironically like turtlenecks.

How can I help ?

I offer individual counseling for adults who experience struggles like relationship issues, anxiety, and low self-esteem. I am passionate about guiding individuals to function at their optimal abilities. I utilize my warm therapeutic approach to establish an alliance full of empathy and free of judgement. By promoting a safe space to openly explore challenges, we can create a natural, lasting change.

What our work can look like

All life paths vary, as do treatment plans. Based on my professional assessment and your goals, I create an individualized approach suited for each client. I work with people who are seeking help with familial or relational conflicts, work/life balance, past complex trauma, life transitions, and anxiety. My fundamental approach is Person Centered Therapy, which highlights the inbuilt proclivity toward growth and fulfillment of each individual. Collaboratively, I utilize techniques from other approaches including psychodynamic psychotherapy, holistic psychotherapy, and mind-body approaches. When applicable, issues covered are approached with a Trauma Informed lens.
