Phone Consultation
15 Minute Free Phone Consultation
I commend you for caring for yourself and taking the time to research a clinician with whom you would want to work with. To help you make an informed decision, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to get to know each other.
Individual Therapy
While I have training in mental health practices, I am not an expert on YOU. We work as a team to identify and achieve your goals, whatever they may be. Sessions are usually 45 minutes on a weekly basis unless otherwise determined.
I am located in Midtown Manhattan, between Bryant Park and Grand Central Station but am currently holding all session virtually for your convenience. See “Teletherapy’ below.
Teletherapy
Given the current environment, all sessions have transitioned towards teletherapy. This allows you to have accessibility to mental health care while adhering to safety guidelines.
I use secure HIPAA compliant platforms to conduct virtual sessions and manage documentation. This ensures your private information is safe.
Fee
Fees will be collaboratively determined prior to the first session. I am an out-of-network provider and adhere to the appropriate fees set by FAIRHealth. The rate for 45 minute sessions ranges depending on a sliding scale and the out-of-network benefits your insurance may provide. Please read the sliding scale information below.
Sliding Scale and Insurance
I am an out-of-network provider and do not work directly under insurance companies. However, many insurance companies give reimbursements for mental health services. If we utilize out-of-network benefits, I will provide a monthly superbill to submit to your insurance company for predetermined reimbursement. This contains an itemized receipt of therapy services. This model allows for more flexibility and privacy for our work together!
If you do not have out-of-network benefits, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I occasionally offer a sliding scale based on household income and availability. If I’m unable to see you personally, I can offer referrals to clinicians in the area. I believe therapy should be accessible to all and would like to work with you to make it possible.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
